Abstract

This paper attempts to design the photographic illustration attuned to some journalistic categories, namely: the interpretative and analytical journalism, especially those practiced by magazine journalism. Accordingly, to the mere notion of a photograph produced and/or assembled to be placed next to news, photo-illustration is characterized as an image in which, when realizing a certain concept about the announced subject, defines a visual interpretation or a visual argument about it.
