Abstract

Considering the idea that reality effects are influenced by the specific characteristics of each journalistic genre, the aim of this paper is to study the discursive construction of journalistic authority in yellow press programs. Therefore, this work aims to study two important news programs in their respective periods ofproduction: Documento Especial -Televisão Verdade, focusing on the chapter of the program called "O País da Impunidade", and Brasil Urgente, analyzing the program aired on 11/28/2012, when José Luiz Datena talked to a kidnapper who kept the mother and sister hostages. For this we used the French tradition of discourse analysis to study how was configured the identity of those involved journalists.
