Abstract

This review presents an introduction to the discussions about the communication processes that have been taking place, especially in the United States, in relation to the circulation of untruths on the internet and in journalistic programs; a phenomenon that, today, is recognized worldwide by the pseudonym of Fake News. In this sense, this review is based on the talk show Reliable Source, from CNN international news network, which focuses primarily on debates about how the news are built in the media world, how they circulate in electronic environments, and how they are consumed by thousands of people around the world. Hereby, it is intended, therefore, to show a possible starting point for the approach of this contemporary phenomenon called Fake News, which goes beyond social media and is present, somehow, in all levels of socio-political interactions at this time.
