In this article, we propose to answer the following research question: how has the Cancel Culture (CC) in digital social networks been researched by the academic-scientific community? For this, we conducted a systematic literature review using content analysis in order to select and analyze our sample (24 articles). The results show that the CC emerged in 2020 as a topic for scientific interest. Additionally, Brazil and the USA are the countries that produce most of the research output on this topic, with 8 articles each. Data show that most works (54%) do not have Specific Cancel Events (EVC) as objects of analysis and as a result present a more theoretical approach. The USA, Canada and Brazil (33%) are the main stages of specific cancel events. Public figures are the most studied kind of target (28%). Twitter appears as the main platform for data collection (28%).
