Abstract

The teaching of Philosophy is something speculative, theoretical and which aims to be an exercise in reason. However, due to its breadth, it is necessary to delimit its content and work on a specific philosophical theme. In particular, in the case here, we will show the importance of African Philosophy both for the empowerment of women and for the teaching of Philosophy. What we are going to deal with here is about the teaching of Philosophy and the peculiar way in which African philosophy deals with the issue of women's empowerment, pointing out as a sample the African study of gender issues, taking as reference the woman of Mozambique and her procedurally facing the transformation and change pertinent to the social role of women.
