THE EFFECT OF AN EXERCISE PROGRAM ON THE FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY OF HEMIPARETIC GAIT IN INDIVIDUALS WITH STROKE
Abstract
Objective: This study evaluated the efficacy of a physical exercise program on the functional capacity of hemiparetic gait in individuals with stroke. Methods: This study was conducted using an experimental model showing the functional capacity of hemiparetic gait o 20 patients with sequel of stroke through the Dynamic Gait Index. Results: the participants showed an average in the first assessment of 7.95 points, followed by 12 points in the second assessment, and 16.5 points in the third assessment. Conclusion: the exercise program increased the gait functional capacity of individuals with a history of stroke, providing improvements in their physical condition and performance of daily activities.
