This article comprehends the concept of ubiquity and explores the different definitions in various fields of research. It is understood ubiquity in communication as the ability to be anywhere at all time. It is hoped, from this concept, to seek how this conception is defined as a practice and a process within the science of communication. The work permeates the ideas of authors such as Pavlik (2014), Gomes and Maia (2008), Santaella (2013), Braga (2011), Duarte (2003) and France (2001).
