Abstract

A language group is constantly coming to an evaluation of discourses. It considers them true or false, possessing verisimilitude or not. and thus performing a candid metalinguistic activity. The author lakes up this research once again, this time concerned with the learning process of reality itself, and with the social and historical factors involved in enunciating the truth. This is very important as a preliminary act for future analyses of any other discourse. Oriented by the resistance of texts to infinite interpretations, the author discusses the language of connotation, and comes to the surprising conclusion that cultural contexts are defined by discusses language, but not vice versa. Thus, the social contract assumes a new importance when it is considered in a restricted sense, and one can more easily understand the scientific, and ideological crises of our time.
