Abstract

RESUMO — Propomos que o estudo da unidade padrão do discurso literário etnoterminológico, o vocábulo-termo, é de fundamental importância na análise contrastiva de línguas e culturas, no âmbito dos estudos da tradução. Os conceitos que resultam do processo de conceptualização se revestem de especificidades semântico-conceptuais, identificando o universo linguístico e referencial de uma dada língua de partida, caracterizando sua realidade, muitas vezes intransponível para o tradutor. O pesquisador em tradução poderá, a partir da análise dos semas formadores, identificar, no universo de discurso da língua de chegada e partida, a percepção da realidade e a atribuição de valor (pela análise dos subconjuntos dos traços ideológicos-culturais e ideológico-intencionais modalizadores), se os conceitos foram conservados, reduzidos ou ampliados quando da sua ressemantização na língua de chegada.

ABSTRACT — We have propose that the study of the minimal unit of etno-terminological literary discourse, the word-term, is very important regarding contrastive analysis of languages and cultures within the framework of translation studies. The concepts resulting from the conceptualization process have semantic-conceptual specificities, identifying the linguistic and referential universe of a given source language, featuring its reality, such fenomenon is often too difficult for the translator to understand. The researcher in translation may, from the analysis of semas, identify the universe of discourse in the source  language and in the target language; the perception of reality and the assignment of value (through the analysis of subsets of the ideological, cultural and ideological unintended traits modalizers), if the concepts have been maintained, reduced or enlarged at the moment its resemantization to the target language.

Vanice Ribeiro Dias LATORRE, Universidade de São Paulo - USP

Bachelor in Portuguese, Linguistics and English from the FFLCH of the University of São Paulo (1976); Degree in Portuguese and English from the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo (1976); degree in Pedagogy from the Faculty Carlos Paquale (1982) with specialization in Educational Guidance and School Administration; Master in Semiotics and General Linguistics at FFLCH, University of São Paulo (2012). Linguistics, with emphasis on Lexicology, Terminology and Ethnoterminology, acting on the following theme: LEXIC and CULTURE. She got a PhD from FFLCH / USP's Translation Studies course with the project "A Return to the Devil to Pay in the Backlands" in 2012, having dropped out of the course in 2014. She served as a teacher in elementary school I and II, in the area of ​​foreign language and Portuguese, and in higher education as a writing teacher and full professor of Portuguese Teaching Practice, and as a pedagogical coordinator at SME / SP. Has experience in organizing and coordinating academic events. She was selected for the Postgraduate Course in Portuguese Language Etymology, as a special student, to be taught in the 1st semester of 2016, at the University of São Paulo, with the objective of resuming her doctoral project.
