Our article has two objectives. The first of them consists in trying to carry out a conceptual and terminological explanation about the two specific meanings that the expression "revaluation of values" presents in the Nietzschean corpus. Our second goal, which will take as its starting point the fulfillment of the first objective, constitutes an attempt to examine the historical admissibility of the "thesis of the revaluation of values" presented by Nietzsche in sections § 7 and § 8 of the first dissertation of Genealogy of Morals. For this purpose, we intend to determine, approximately, at what historical moment, in the eyes of Nietzsche, the transvaluation of values could have happened.
