Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between information management and thematic focused on applications and technological innovations through the curricular programs of subjects in academic education in the organization iSchools. The academic programs of 22 units of iSchools affiliated information schools were analyzed. The purpose of this article focused on the identification and analysis of the teaching areas in which information schools focus their disciplines with a technological focus in the sphere of information management and in the field of Information Science. The undergraduate and graduate programs of the 22 academic units were analyzed through the indicative titles and descriptions of the subjects' contents. In the universe of 1463 subjects, a total of 423 were selected. The main areas of education related to the technological universe in the context of iSchools were related to issues of development and use of technologies, information access and retrieval, information processing techniques and procedures , reflections on the impact of technologies, access and use of information in society, practices that result in the creation or evaluation of specialized services and instructions or methods for the managerial contexts in organizations.
