A importância da literatura potiguar e o papel do bibliotecário como mediador literário

Abstract

This exploratory bibliographic research, sought to present the importance of literature, as well as to discuss the relevance of potiguar literature to build a cultural identity of the Rio Grande do Norte. In order to understand the trajectory of potiguar literature, it was also aimed to demonstrate the dimension of state literature through a brief history. Another specific objective is also accomplished, which turned to the discussion of the importance of the librarian as a mediator. It concludes that it is through the continuous intervention of the librarian as a mediator that a reading community is built. Since literature is one of the essential arts for the lives of subjects, they should have access to the literary production of authors from north-rio-grandenses authors on library collections.
