BIBLIOTHERAPY IN BRAZIL: AN OVERVIEW OF SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Abstract

It reports the course and results of research carried out for the Conclusion Undergraduate Theses in Librarianship. The general objective was to verify the development of scientific production on the theme Bibliotherapy in Brazil, in Librarianship and Information Science in the 21st century. The specific objectives: a) to present the scientific production published in undergraduate and master-degree theses, doctorate dissertations, journal articles and annals of conferences and meetings on Bibliotherapy in Brazil, in the area of Librarianship and Information Science in the 21st century; b) to raise the authors who most worked with the theme; c) highlight the evolution of scientific production during the 21st century. The research is; quantitative; bibliographic, descriptive and exploratory. 127 undergraduate theses, 41 articles, 25 papers, 4 master-degree theses and 1 dissertation were analyzed. It concludes that Bibliotherapy is a promising field and that, despite the increase in scientific production indicates greater interest to the theme, it is still not a desirable increase.
