Abstract

The purpose of this article Consists of presenting the cooperative entrepreneurship based on the case study of the National Work Cooperative of Librarians and Information Professionals (Bibliocoop), a cooperative of Librarians located in Alagoas. Thus, as secondary objectives, it seeks to analyze how the librarian’s performance in an entrepreneurial cooperative can bring benefits to the area and to the insertion of the professional himself in the job market. The methodological approach used was bibliographic and is characterized as a case study through the analysis of Bibliocoop that showed that the cooperative professionals, may be enjoying the benefits generated through the cooperative enterprise. Finally, it is concluded that the topic addressed contributes to the generation of jobs and a good alternative for professional insertion for the area of Library Science.
