Authors

Abstract

The use of electronic devices is essential for communication and information dissemination. However, excessive use can cause various stress-related issues, such as technostress, which may affect individuals' professional and personal lives. Given the scarcity of organized studies on technostress and work-family conflict, this systematic review aims to map out the research pathways and propose an agenda for future studies on these topics. The research findings identified pathways from 2021 to 2023, highlighting the profile of samples, authors, affiliations, and the most relevant journals. The conceptual framework revealed a relationship between technostress, satisfaction, and well-being, underscoring the role of support and supervision in reducing technology-induced stress and work-life conflict. The research agenda proposed themes such as psychological safety, Human Resources (HR) practices, and professional development and training. In conclusion, this relatively unexplored field deserves greater attention, especially given the rapid advancement of technology. It is hoped that technostress and work-family conflict will gain a prominent place in the research agenda of Management and Business Studies in Brazil, offering opportunities for theoretical and practical advancements in the field.
