Abstract

This work presents perspectives of the quantitative research and the qualitative research, reflecting on the applications of these two methodologies in the ethnomusicological studies. The work has as base an ample bibliographical research in ethnomusicology, anthropology and others areas other areas that have relation with the study. With base in the presented reflections it is evident that the quantitative research and the qualitative research, although its methodological particularitities, are complementary, being able to compose the necessary tools for the a reality of each research.
