Abstract

This article analyzes the Law n. 13.465/2017, based on Provisional Measure 759 (known as “MP da Grilagem”), whose main juridical innovation was the expansion of the land regularization area on the Union Lands, from 1.500 to 2.500 hectares throughout the national territory. This "new" land law in Brazil is a direct reflection of the usurpation of the recent Brazilian democracy, in which intends the reconcentration of lands, as well as the legitimation of land grabbing and the formation of a land speculative market for hydro-agribusiness.
