Water is a fundamental natural resource for man, constituting a decisive factor in his economic and social development, from this perspective, a water security analyzes the risks related to its supply, quality / quantity and access, which in turn are directly related to a social vulnerability to these events. This article briefly assesses Mozambique's water security conditions through the natural conditions, social vulnerability and water governance manifested in the country, through consultation of secondary data available in technical reports and articles dealing with the issue. In this evaluation it is verified that the water security of Mozambique goes through threats that are associated not only with its natural climatic conditions, but mainly, it’s policies of intervention that have neglected the reality of water vulnerability in the country.Downloads
