The Geomorphological heritage are an important occurrence of landforms that must be preserved and incorporated into actions related to economic and sustainable development. In the analysis of geomorphological heritage, karst relief should be understood as an open system composed of two subsystems: hydrological and geochemical, closely integrated, which act on soluble rocks. This landscape has abundant natural resources (eg groundwater and the rock itself) that need to be conserved and managed properly. In this context, this study aims to analyze and map the natural vulnerability of the karst geomorphological heritage of Folha Montes Claros/MG. The methodological procedures consist of applying the methodology for analysis natural vulnerability through the Concentration and Roughness Index (ICR) and Multicriteria Analysis. The results show that approximately 50% of the area is inserted in a high and very high Natural Vulnerability Index (NVI), which may be related to the very fragility of the karst relief, and/or to the lito-dependence and pedo-dependence. In this way, the areas with the most vulnerable geological substrates maintained this character when combined with cambisols and litolic soils. Therefore, the areas with the most vulnerable lithology, combined with more developed and stable soils, oxisols, for example, were less vulnerable. The methodology employed proved to be satisfactory, since the manipulation of variables in the model based on multicriteria analysis, allowed for a systematic, integrated analysis, and made it possible to spatialize the vulnerability classes of the geomorphological - karst heritage.Downloads
