Abstract

The production of space in the district of Humildes, municipality of Feira de Santana (BA) reveals the complexities of the contemporary world, thus bringing new approaches, translating what the author Graziano calls rurbano. The spatial configuration shows the presence of non-agricultural activities in rural areas, this context provides new social practices in the field, built over the historical process. To explain this problem, it was necessary to use the critical approach, along with sociodemographic data, documentary research and scientific contributions from authors who discussed the historical context of the headquarters and the district. The purpose of this text is to analyze the process of formation and occupation of the district of Humildes, for that it was necessary to identify the social, economic and cultural aspects. Thus, point out the implications for the spatial configuration. Thus, it was identified that urban growth influenced the labor practices of the district.
