ANÁLISE DA ATUAÇÃO DO MOVIMENTO SOCIOTERRITORIAL INDÍGENA EM MATO GROSSO – BRASIL

The indigenous people have suffered social problems since colonization, with the invasion of their territories. The present work has the socio-territorial movements of Mato Grosso as the basis of study. These movements have the territory as a struggle for their experience. In this work the object of study is the geography of the performance of the indigenous movements and aims to analyze and address the theme of the performance, its main demands, and the ethnic groups most present in the development of their struggles, in order to systematize data that will point out the main regions of activity of this movement, its characteristics, ethnicities, achievements, subject of the claims. The methodology used was qualitative and quantitative research with bibliographic review, data analysis for the results and theoretical foundation. The actions of the socio-territorial movements can be divided into the actions of land occupations and demonstrations, which are the main form of protests in the fight against the inequalities they face, mainly against the agribusiness latifundio and the public power itself. The results obtained point out that these movements act with occupations and demonstrations in Mato Grosso, carry out more demonstrations with demands for agrarian reform.
