Abstract

This research aims to understand the relationships and interests of national and international political and economic agents that have driven the advancement of agribusiness in Brazilian territory in recent years. Based on the premise that the economic and political agents present in the current accumulation system are driven by logics and interests related to the international financial market, we can perceive the convergence of objectives in spaces of the global economy due to the increase in the financialization of land, expanding the availability of new land stocks in the market. In this context, Brazilian geographical inequality and the increase in productive development in the countryside, especially with the expansion of land concentration, resulted in unprecedented violations of human rights, specifically the uncontrolled release of pesticides and transgenics, as well as the disastrous consequences that arise from it.
