Registering space through representations is a way of registering knowledge and passing it on, which in the early days of human evolution was of vital importance. With the development of science, cartography gains a prominent role, fundamental in the development of geography, passing through several schools with different theoretical and methodological approaches. In the context of the emergence and development of critical geography, cartography is neglected to the detriment of social issues, which in a way represents a weakening for both, especially for school geography because, as it can be about contents related to spaces distant and abstract the reality of the students without the use of representations? How can you have students with the ability to read maps as well as the ability to represent geographic space? The answer is complex, but it can be said that these students will have greater difficulties in understanding the contents because they do not have a deep understanding of cartographic representations. That is why it is necessary to seek an adjustment between the academy and the school environment, as well as between the training of geographers teachers with their students in basic education institutions, thus making a rescue within the geographical science. For this, in the development of this research, it was sought to generate a methodological possibility for the resumption of cartography with geography, for that, techniques were developed for the elaboration and manufacture of geographic models to be used as didactic material for geography and cartography classes, in addition to of being able to be made together with the students, because, through the stages of elaboration and making, the students can learn simultaneously cartography and geography. The systematization of the manufacturing steps was organized in a simplified way in a step by step and in a handmade way, so that everyone is able to make their own models according to their needs and purposes. As a result, the systematization of techniques for representing parts of the geographic space through models is obtained.
