GASTRÓPODES E BIVALVE BENTÔNICOS DO INFRALITORAL DO ESTADO DA PARAÍBA, BRASIL

Foty-one species of 27 gastropod families and 42 species of 18 bivalve families were collected at 93 stations on the continental shelf of the State of Paraíba, NE, Brazil. Among the gastropods, the family Naticidae showed the highest species diversity, and Trivia suffusa and Oliva reticularis were the most common species. Among the bivalves, the Veneridae and Cardiidae were the most diverse families, and Laevicardium laevigatum, Botula fusca and Trachycardium magnum were the most common species. The geographic range record of Semele casali and Glycymeris longior was extended to the studied area.
