LISTA DE ESPÉCIES DA FAMÍLIA LEGUMINOSAE NA CAATINGA PARAÍBANA

An annotated checklist of the species of Leguminosae in the "caatinga" of the State of Paraíba, Northeastern Brazil, is presented. The checklist is organzed according to the classification of Leguminosae into three subfamilies. A total of 74 species and 37 genera were recorded of which 21 species and 6 genera belong to the subfamily Caesalpinioideae, 29 species and 20 genera to Papilionoideae and 23 species and 11 genera to Mimosoideae. Mimosa, Senna and Chamaecrista were the three genera with most species. Although no species is endemic to Paraíba, several are restricted to the "caatinga" dominium or are endemic to Natheastern Brazil.Downloads
