About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Scientific Initiation in International Relations is a bi-annual publication of the International Relations Department of the Federal University of Paraiba. The main purpose of the RIC is to promote researches on topics of international relations conducted in undergraduate and graduate courses in Brazil and abroad, encouraging this type of scientific production. We strive to expand the debate on international relations in their different epistemological and methodological approaches.

The Journal of Scientific Initiation in International Relations publishes articles, research notes and reviews that discuss various topics of the multidisciplinary field of study of international relations.

The article may not have been previously published in other journals or have been simultaneously submitted for publication to another journal;

Manuscripts can be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts in accordance with the scope of the journal will be reviewed by the Associate Editors and can be accepted or not as a submission. All submissions to the Journal of Scientific Initiation in International Relations will be peer reviewed in a blind review process. Original articles will be evaluated by blind peer reviewer.

The referees will indicate one of the decisions below:

• Acceptance for publication;

• Small review;

• Large review;

• Rejection.

After the acceptance, the editor will contact the Author(s) to ensure that the manuscript is within the standard of the journal. Minor revisions may be requested at this stage.

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Scientific Initiation in International Relations is a biannual publication. This periodicity may be modified, considering the demand of submissions.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public knowledge provides the advancement and development of science.

Frequency

The Journal of Scientific Initiation in International Relations is a biannual publication, and should be published in the months of April and October. These deadlines may be changed, considering the demand for work submitted.
