The 2016 United States presidential election in light of the theory of Robert Dahl and Joseph Schumpeter
Abstract
This article pretends to analyze the 2016 United States presidential elections throw the electoral arrangements used by the unitedstatians in such process, the profile of the unitedstatian elector and the democratic and republican candidates, and the conditions that allowed Donald Trump’s victory. As such, it’ll be used as a critical counterbalance the theorical vision of two authors, Robert Dahl and Joseph Schumpeter. So, it’ll be wove not only sociological analyzes of the United States – using specially poll and populational research, the electoral results and scientifical articles previously produced – but also of the conditions that gave Donald Trump the victory.
