Uma análise exploratória comparada sobre os escândalos de corrupção dentro da sociedade civil
Abstract
What factors may be correlated with the occurrence of corruption in partnerships between the State and NGOs? The objective of this research is to map, through an exploratory and comparative approach, the situation of Red Cross corruption scandals around the globe, specifically in Africa and Brazil. Therefore, comparisons were made with factors that may influence the occurrence of corrupt practices in this type of cooperation between public authorities and third sector agencies. The purpose of the research design is to present the similarities and differences between corruption cases involving the Red Cross. The comparative exploratory analysis is carried out using primary sources on corruption cases. The main conclusion of the research is that factors such as the perception of corruption among local public officials and the quality of democracy may be correlated with the occurrence of these scandals, which are damaging to the image of these civil society organizations at a global level.
