The research seeks to understand the development of ultranationalism as a symptom in the context of the crisis of Israeli democracy. It aims to investigate the deterioration of state institutions, the fragmentation of the left, and the strengthening of orthodox parties. To achieve this, the research will proceed with a qualitative methodology of single country study analysis as a comparison, with Israel as the focus, and will elucidate the causalities of the democratic crisis that fueled ultranationalist actors in the country. Throughout the sections, one can observe how the political crisis unfolded in the only democracy in the Middle East.
