PROYECTANDO LA HISTORIA: UN RECORRIDO POR LA CINEMATOGRAFIA VIKINGA

Resumen

Resumen: Nuestro imaginario cultural posee una imagen del vikingo que es, en gran medida, deudora de las representaciones cinematográficas existentes sobre esta cultura, ya que el medio audiovisual ha marcado nuestra forma de entender y acercarnos a los nórdicos. Estas representaciones han ido evolucionando con el tiempo y con las distintas perspectivas propuestas por las diferentes industrias que han abordado esta temática en sus producciones, es por ello el objetivo del presente trabajo rastrear las diferentes etapas de esta relación entre el cine y los vikingos, y analizar las representaciones cinematográficas más relevantes.

Abstract: Our cultural imaginary has an image of the viking which is, to a large extent, indebted to film representations of this culture, since audiovisual media has marked our way of understanding and approaching norse culture. These representations have evolved over time and varying perspectives have been proposed by the different industries that have addressed this issue in their productions. The aim of this paper is to elucidate the different stages of the relationship between cinema and the vikings, and to analyze the most relevant of their cinematographic representations.
