Abstract

This article posed to describe and explain how the fostering of SE via incubators contributes with the formation of Administration students, challenging reflections within the field itself and its practices. Thus, the main descriptive and explanatory data of this qualitative research was collected by means of fieldwork conducted at two incubators, which resulted in the pointing out of the importance of incubators, their functions and limitations when faced with university challenges and the tensions peculiar to self-managed enterprises. There was discussion of the relevance of SE as pedagogic praxis, enabling distinct experiences from society's current organizational standards and providing proximity between theory and practice within the academic context vis-à-vis the labour market. It concludes that SE has the potential to bridge the gap between traditional Administration education and the development of critical thinking that responds to the challenges of society and the future of the university itself.
