Abstract

In this work we analyze the enrollment patterns of imagery in photojournalism as a way to check how some images have become symbolic and formed into patterns of representation. Considering the statement of Edgar Morin(1970) that the photograph is a physical image, with the wealth of a psychic image, we believe that some images are representational status symbol and are to be pursued, consciously or not, by photojournalists in order to respond the principle of readability. We selected four different images of vehicles that, at first glance, caused the deja vu feeling. For the analysis of the photographs in the grounds in studies of Roland Barthes, Edgar Morin and Boris Kossoy, among others, and use the analytic method of deconstruction, developed by Boni (2003). In it through thetechnical resources used by the photographer in the recording of images, it is possible to infer their intentions.
