Abstract

This article has as main objective identifying and analyzing, morphologically, the neological formations within the virtual game League of Legends. For this, a theoretical foundation was made on the theme of neology (Monteiro, 2002; Basilio, 2004; Camara Jr, 1987; Sandmann, 1992; Correia and Almeida, 2012; among others) and a methodology for collecting and analyzing data. The results found that most of the data are loan-words that become loans, due to adaptations, mainly, via suffix derivation processes, generating inflected verbs according to the need for the phrase and acronym.
