The critical fortune of Hilda Hilst's narrative production, despite having shown a vast growth from the late 1990s onwards, is still focused, too much, on the considered “obscene trilogy”, “erotic-porn trilogy” or “erotic trilogy ” which is composed by: The pink notebook by Lori Lamby (1990), Tales of mockery: grotesque texts (1990) and Letters from a seducer (1991). Although the construction of the image of an obscene Mrs. Hilda has been elaborated by most literary critics, I do not intend to follow these parameters of analysis of the hilstian prose, in particular, with regard to The Pink Notebook by Lori Lamby. Instead, I want to build a reading centered on the web Hilst weaves in order to create characters that enjoy the narrative voice and, at the same time, occupy the place of subjects based on writing in these and these stories. Evidencing, therefore, that such narrators-writers live permanently in a conflicting relationship with the editor and are always seeking support in the figure of a female character, in order to fulfill their function, that of writing an "obscene book" that is a sales success and, consequently, profitable for the publisher. Therefore, in this analysis of The Pink Notebook by Lori Lamby, I will seek to demonstrate how the child sexual exploitation present in this work becomes a “stylistic” subterfuge to denounce the obscene relationship between the publishing market and literary production.Downloads
