Environmental education playful in public school: contributing to the process of engagement and social transformation

Abstract

Environmental Education (EE) in recent years is presented as a new dimension to group in the educational process. In this respect, educational activities were carried out in two schools in the municipal kindergarten and elementary school located in the city of Pombal, EMEF Dr. Avelino Elias Queiroga and EMEF Decision. Whose main objective was to analyze the conceptions / representations of the environment of the students in 3º to 6º grade from two public schools in rural and urban area, and are guided by the Caatinga biome embedded playful inserted Environmental education in science teaching. Active teaching methods such as lectures, educational workshops and fun games for the data collection were used interviews was conducted through structured questionnaires. As a result we confirm that the practice of EE and Playful when combined proved to be a valuable tool in science teaching, being a powerful aid in the dissemination of knowledge.
