LITERATURA FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE LIGTH OF INTERDISCIPLINARITY

Abstract

The label ´juvenile literature' encompasses a large number of books meant for young people. Some are adaptations of widely acclaimed books whilst others were written especially for this kind of public. In an attempt to present different facets of books for young people, we took thirty books written for this public to the classroom. Mach student selected one of the books as the subject for a multidisciplinary paper. Besides being extremely productive in itself, this activity also served to forward one of the proposals of the Pro-Reitoria of Community Action (PRACUFPB):to promote interdisciplinary activities in the context of undergraduate courses. It gave birth to works which required research, contacts with people and public protection bodies and reflections about family problems and about old age.
