THE SCENERY OF THE NATIONAL POLICY INFORMATION IN BRAZIL

Abstract

The national information policy is analysed with emphasis on the importance of information as a tool for sociocultural / political and economic changes. It is exposed the existent lag between the discourse and the concrete pratice, the scarcity and malversation of financial resources as well as the isolation of scientific and technological system from society at large. It is stressed the importance of stablishing an explicit policy for national information in ordes to diminish the existent barriers in the process of scientific and tecnological development.
