Abstract

Improving the quality of academic library services has been a constant concern among librarians and others who work, manage or simply use these services. This paper suggests that the organizational goals, and in particular the operative goals, can influence the perception of quality, since they represent the concrete action of interest groups on strategic areas like planning, administration and human resources, infrastructure and services.
