Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the adequacy of the mail survey technique to collect Librarianship data, more specifically in the area of studies of users. The research was carried out in the Central Library of the Federal University of Paraíba, Campus I, João Pessoa – PB. A random sample of 400 users was employed to study the effects of two variables: prize and postal tariff, on the replay rate. It was verified that the general replay rate is within the interval reported in the literature.
