INFORMATION AND FORMATION OF THE CULTURAL IDENTITY: the access to the information in the string literature

Abstract

Guided by the theoretical and methodological concepts about some questions concerning cultural identity, the present study analyzes the contribution of the contents spread by the string literature in the process of building and maintenance of the cultural identity. Developed from a qualitative-descriptive approach, the research is carried out in two phases: bibliographical and exploratory. It presents analysis of three stories that show the relation between cultural identity and contents in the string literature. The results reveal a strong presence of elements and/or cultural manifestations in the contents spread in the string literature.
