INFORMATION USE IN CLINICAL PRACTICE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE: literature review

Abstract

This paper describes a study on access to information for clinical practice, concentrating on the informational needs of doctors and on the evaluation process of the information sources seen from the perspective of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM). It presents a revision of studies undertaken abroad and in Brazil on informational needs in clinical practice and the use of information. It considers criteria and methodological rigour used in the selection of information sources in clinical practice from the perspective of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM)
