PROFESSIONAL FORMATION AND THE DISTANCE EDUCATION MEDIATED BY COMPUTER: an experience in course of Librarianship at DCI/FABICO/UFRGS

Abstract

It refers the first experience of a class under the subject of open and distance education, mediated by computers, aiming students of the Library Science course from the Information Science Department (DCI), the course of Comunication and Library Science (FABICO) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). It approaches the access and the uses of technology of information and comunication in the learning process into the scope of a public university. It approaches the aspect of interaction as part of the process of comunication as new ways of action and inter-relationship on distance education. It present the result of an experience, throught the chat with the construction of a colaborative text, throught synchronous and real time activity, using the technologycal tools in learning virtual environment.
