THE PROJECT OF EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARES: its genesis and its products

Abstract

The Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) they are modifying the individual's relationships with the learning, the culture, the information and the knowledge. We are marked more and more by flows of information, connectivity, interactivity and the presence of equipments and information systems updated and sophisticated, like as the computer. The academical institutions and, in a private way, the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), through the Institutional Coordination of Distance Education (CEAD), it is supporting projects of multidisciplinar nature returned to the dissemination of the use of ICTs in the academic atmosphere related to the teaching presencial and the distance. In this text, we describe the genesis of the project “Acquisition and Availability of Educational Softwares in UFPB/NTI/CEAD” and two of its products, to know, the Softwares Collection Development Policy and the Softwares Control System (SISCONSOFT).
