Vannevar Bush and the discursive matrix of the As we may think: for a possible history of Information Science

Abstract

Examines the discursive matrixes of the American scientist Vannevar Bush crystallized through the article, As We May Think - How can we think - is considered an important network of expository scientific ideology for a new field of knowledge, information science. It rests on theoretical and methodological framework proposed by the philosopher Michel Foucault, in order to apply this analysis to the method of archaeological research, suitable for epistemological studies of science. Notes, through discursive analysis, the article is set out as a representation of an episteme itself a historical moment in which lies the birth of new discourses of science.
