Abstract

This paper contains a comparison of the employees’ study and training rights in Spain and England. The analysis is focused on those rights which are thought to warrant employment stability and to make promotions easier to get. Despite the fact that the degree of protection is considerably different in each country, both of them have some deficiencies which complicate getting some of the main objectives pursued by the European institutions.
