Abstract

ABSTRACT:
The photo essay was one of the tools used to understand the experiences and dynamics in the artisanal shipyards in northeastern Pará. Ethnophotography allowed for an expansion of reflections on working conditions, the transfer of know-how, and the changes occurring in the naval sector within traditional communities. In this way, the use of photography allowed not only the recording of the stages of the boat construction process but also an understanding of the current scenario and the transformations occurring in the artisanal shipyards of the Amazon interior.
KEYWORDS: Photography, Craft boats, Traditional Naval Carpentry, Amazonia.
