Abstract

It addresses the mediation of information developed by the Library Network of the Federal Prosecutor (RBMPF) through their websites and the use of devices of the social web to communicate directly with their users. It points to the online reference services available at Pergamum system and seeks to identify the experiences made by these libraries, their limits and potential to support the main activities of the organ. It consists of a descriptive analysis of the system, based on a literature review on the subject investigated, in which data collection was due to a questionnaire sent by email to librarians RBMPF. Concludes that new tools for mediation of information available through the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have the potential to facilitate user interaction library and adding value in the grounds of activities performed by the institution.
