Abstract

It presents the pragmatic philosophy of Charles Peirce and his theory of signs, as well as the modifications made by Gilles Deleuze in such theory, in order to visualize the appropriation possible for Information Science in relation to both theories. It highlights the peircian theory of signs as space ones, suitable for Information Science while the deleuzian signs as time ones, suitable for a Philosophy of Information Science
