Abstract

Approach of some problems in contemporary challenges to the social construction of knowledge from paradoxes generated around the concepts of knowledge, information, culture and information society. The article proposes problematize a concept that has become common sense: that the technologies automatically relieve the man of repetitive work and allow access to information and knowledge. In this sense, indicates the importance of the activities of cultural mediation and information in the field of Information Science.
