Abstract

This research aimed to study the information system of the Virtual Health Library, examining the degree of acceptance and effective use of the system. The study was conducted with students of the graduate courses in medicine from medical schools in the Recife / PE Metropolitan area, through field research. We detect the existence of training in the handling of the VHL, identifying the factors that influenced the decision of users to accept the effective use of the system, and finally know the degree of satisfaction of users using the system of VHL in your search. As theoretical references, we used the Technology Acceptance Model - TAM, one of the most influential and widely used by researchers to describe the acceptance of technology, for individuals. The analysis showed that despite the existence of the training was not appropriate. The perceived usefulness of use was the factor of greatest influence on the acceptance of the system and the users surveyed do not feel entirely satisfied with the system.
